It's nitrogen-conditioned, giving it an immensely creamy and silky smooth mouthfeel. Darker beers can sometimes be perceived as heavy; however, this isn't the case with Porters like BJ's PM Porter®. Its smoothness and moderate alcohol content make it a perfect drinkable session beer. It was sometime in the early 18th century that a new kind of beer started to get a reputation among porters and other working-class folks in London. The 'PM' in this handcrafted beer's name is for Paul Motenko, an original founder of BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse.
