GOLD AND BRONZE MEDALS FOR BJ's AT THE 2016 GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL!
The Great American Beer Festival, like the name suggests, is the biggest beer festival in the United States. Not only do thousands of people come to sample all sorts of beer, but hundreds of breweries enter their beers into the competition that awards medals in 92 different beer-style categories. We attend the Great American Beer Festival every year and always enter the competition. And this year, we were honored to walk away with some of those medals!
We took home the Gold for our Razz-Jerry Tart in the Fruited Barrel-Aged Sour Beer category and the Bronze for our Wild & Crazy Rye in the Historical Beer category! Our brewer Oscar Blanco from the BJ’s Brea Brewery is credited for Razz-Jerry Tart, while Wild & Crazy Rye was brewed by BJ’s brewer Aaron Stueck with The Colorado Malting Company in our BJ’s Boulder Brewery!
Attending the Great American Beer Festival is always a good time, being with fellow brewers and beer lovers alike. It’s even more exciting when our beers are appreciated like this at the competition, and we are very grateful!
